How does our online tutoring work?
Your tutor will video call your child with Zoom or Google Meet at the date and time that was arranged. The tutor will personalise the teaching to your child's individual needs and goals.
At the end of each lesson your tutor will assign homework for your child to complete and will give the parent/guardian verbal feedback.
Do I need special equipment or software?
All your child needs is a modern computer, which can be a laptop, desktop with an internal or external webcam. iPads can also be used and already have a camera and microphone inbuilt.
Are the lessons tailored to my child's individual needs and goals?
Absolutely! Each lesson is individually tailored to your child's needs. Your tutor will assign work and homework depending upon your child's requirements. At the end of each lesson, your tutor will give the parent/guardian verbal feedback.
What software does my child need?
Your child will need the following free software for the lessons:
- Zoom or Google Meet
- Gmail address for Google Drive (to access worksheets and tasks)
How to get the most out of the lesson?
- Ensure your computer and webcam are working properly at least 20 minutes before the lesson starts
- Your child should be in a quiet area with minimal distractions so they can concentrate during the lesson
- Ensure your child has all their subject material ready at the start of the lesson
Can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
Yes, you can reschedule your booking at no cost as long as we have a minimum 12 hours notice.
